About the author: Chris Fietkiewicz is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He obtained a B.S. degree in 1991 in electrical engineering through a joint program between Messiah College and Temple University in Pennsylvania. He then worked for ten years in industry, first as an electrical engineer in industrial automation, and later as a software engineer in Silicon Valley. His transition to academia began with two years as an adjunct professor at Bryant & Stratton College in Cleveland, OH. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Case in 2010 and worked as a postdoctoral associate at Downstate Medical Center, State University of New York.
